May 6 – Compost Day
Volunteers needed for TREA’s annual participation with London Composts’ sale of compost, 8 am to noon – a fundraiser for TREA and other community organizations that offer householders compost for their gardens. Sign up at volunteer@trea.ca. Bring a shovel or stop by and purchase some compost.
April 22 – Earth Day
Volunteers needed for TREA’s annual cleanup at Mitches Park as part of London Clean & Green, a city-wide community cleanup day. The City provides us with bags & gloves. Sign up at volunteer@trea.ca. This is a great way for students to earn community hours or for you to help out in a neighbourhood.
July 14-16 – Home County Music and Art Festival
Join us as a volunteer to staff EcoStations in Victoria Park for Home County, one of Ontario’s Top 100 Festivals in Ontario, now in its 45th year. Help educate those that attend on proper sorting of waste materials to support the festival toward a zero waste target. Sign up at volunteer@trea.ca to help.
